This help does not address how to search using all the fields in
the drop down menu since the basics of searching is described in the All
Fields section.
User is able to search on a particular field by typing a single
term or subject heading using any of the assigned fields as is indicated
in the drop down menu. Truncation is automatic
for all search fields.

Boolean - AND, OR, NOT:
health OR insurance (Retrieves records containing either one or more terms.)
health AND insurance (Retrieves only records containing both terms.)
health NOT insurance (Excludes records containing the second term.)

- Enter word or search term: health (Index searches all the fields as is stated.)

Title
- Enter all or initial part of title, starting with the first word: Caribbean standards

Author
- Enter the author’s full name: peabody, john w. (include the comma) or portion: peabody
- For group names, enter as is: Hamilton and Associates

Keywords
- Enter standard subject heading: urban development or groundwater
- Start with the left-most word: health services
